The Nixon Rodeo is a hard rock band from Spokane, WA. With a combination of all things rock, The Rodeo has a unique sound that is original yet familiar. Formed in May of 2010, the band strived to combine all the styles of music that brought each of the band members into music in the first place, from rock, metal, punk, pop, thrash and more. It is not possible for anyone to attend a Nixon Rodeo show and not feel the power and intensity that the band and crowd feeds off of and hear the roar of hundreds shouting ‘Rodeo, Rodeo, Rodeo’.

Founding member and front man Brent Forsyth plays rhythm guitar and sings lead vocals and is always pushing the band to keep its originality and a sound that hooks the listener instantly. Ethan Harrison, the band’s drummer and backing vocalist, combines aggression and entertainment into each performance determined to put on the best rock show you’ve ever been a part of. Josh Crites, the lead guitarist, is the one that has brought to the band the talent of speed and precision in his guitar playing with solos that will bring the nostalgia back to rock and roll. Rounding out the band is bassist and multi-talented Travis Singleton who originally started playing music as a drummer and after mastering his drumming skills moved on to other instruments, he also brings his past touring experience and song arranging skills to all aspects of The Nixon Rodeo’s song writing.

The bands first single “My First Day”, off their debut album “Made to Bleed”, was a moderate radio success nationwide reaching the Top 20 in several markets.  The band spent the first part of 2013 in the studio working on their follow up album, “The Understatement”, that will be released nationally in July 2013.  The lead single off the new album is “Opposite of Me” was released at the beginning of June and the video for the single will be released at the end of June along with behind the scenes footage shot while in the studio.

The government recently unveiled four proposals to improve the efficiency and accountability of food system, I think the one that caught my attention was in relation to the way FSA is being run compared to how it was at the time of RPI. Here's the basic problem that government sees. The FSA is operating at what it thinks is a pretty healthy (by the standards of most central government) level efficiency. With 2m people registered to use it at the very minimum, it's fairly well-supported by the budget, with £300m spent on it over the past 12 years.
